These past two weeks, we’ve enjoyed taking a peek in shoppers’ bags to see what they’re taking home with them. What will you be taking home with you this Saturday?
Perhaps a Pony Shack Cider 4-pack or some eggs & Smith’s cheese spread from Balance Rock Farm or Deano’s Pasta pretty multi-color ravioli.
Farmers are now harvesting much more than just greens and shoppers are bringing home a wide variety of vegetables and cut flower bouquets from Applefield Farm and Brigham Farm. And enjoy a cold brew coffee from Muddy Water Coffee Roasters while you’re shopping.
Cookie Lady Treats, The Compulsive Baker and The Bake Shoppe are all attending this week. You’ll notice many of their baked goods never make it home in the bag.
Also this Saturday, Hudson Hives has honey, honey sticks and lip balm and we welcome artisan Cristina of Bumbleroot Design (Giacomo’s Gourmet Granola will miss the market due to a big catering job). The Hip Swayers perform starting at 9:30am thanks to grants from Maynard and Mass Cultural Councils. Members of the Maynard Community Gardeners will be at the Community Table recruiting members and doing a bucket-planting demonstration (do you know its members who plant & maintain the beautiful downtown buckets?!). And Girl Scout Troop 78056 will have information about their children’s food bag project. As always, there will be bubbles and chalk for the kids and adults. Hope to see you by the Mill Pond this Saturday!
