The Market kicks off its 24th season on Saturday, June 29! The 2019 Market runs Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., rain or shine in the Mill Pond parking lot on Main St (near intersection with Sudbury St) in Maynard until Sept 28. Saturday you’ll find favorite vendors to visit and great entertainment for all ages. And you may even see a friend, or ten.

Weekly vendors Applefield Farm, Balance Rock Farm, Brigham Farm, Cookie Lady Treats, Deano’s Pasta (bringing gluten-free pasta this season) and Hudson Hives. Periodic vendors The Compulsive Baker (look for Susan in the shade next to Applefield this season) and Joni’s Cannolis and artisans Jennifer’s Handmade Soaps & Bumbleroot Design will also be there. Starting at 9:15, Mister Vic will entertain the kids. He’ll play some music and then lead them in a parade in the Market area. Costumes are encouraged. Beginning at 11, musician Paul Driscoll, a folk singer based out of Central Massachusetts will perform at the Serendipity Cafe Music Tent. Combining hard hitting lyrics with powerful vocals, his music will be on your mind long, long after you’ve heard it. The Maynard Community Gardeners will be at the Community Table. Stop by to learn about the events they host throughout the year and the great community work they do including maintenance of Maple Brook Park and the planter buckets downtown.
For those of you wondering about favorites you won’t see this Saturday, Muddy Water Coffee Roasters hopes to join us as soon as possible (wish Tim’s business a quick recovery from the unfortunate fire in the building that houses his roasting facility) and Pony Shack Cider will come every other week starting July 13. Not returning this season, Laurie (Giacomo’s Gourmet Foods) is in the fortunate situation that their cafe is such a success, two people are needed there full-time. If you find yourself in Hubbardston, be sure to pay them a visit. And Ariana (The Bake Shoppe) plans to visit as a shopper with baby Emilia. Hope to see you at the Market!
